Point South is 323 acres (+/-) strategically located at the intersection of U.S. 17 (Coastal Highway) and Interstate 95. Exit 33 is the principal exit for northbound traffic headed to the booming tourist destinations of Charleston (1hour) and Myrtle Beach (2 1/2 hours). Point South is also the Gateway from I-95 to the tourist destination of historic Beaufort (25 minutes), the surrounding Sea Islands and the beaches of Hunting Island and Fripp Island. Point South is a short drive (45 minutes) from world famous Hilton Head Island. It is an ideal location for any tourist oriented commercial activity.

Water and sewer is available from Beaufort Jasper Water Authority to all properties on the site. Currently existing franchises include McDonalds, Holiday Inn Express, Days Inn, Best Western, Knights Inn, KOA, Denny’s, Waffle House, BP/Amoco, Citgo, Exxon, Shell, and Texaco. Traffic count as of 2000 was 40,000 vehicles daily and growing.

Point South is a planned highway commercial development begun by Charles Fraser of Hilton Head Island in 1972. Current owners have owned the property since 1984. Facility infrastructure was recently transferred to the Beaufort-Jasper Water Authority. Jasper County, S.C. has zoned all 323 acres for commercial use.
